The American capture of a prominent British spy brings threats of retaliation from British forces. On the eve of the spy’s execution, Hessian Jägers torch the home of Patriot commander, Thomas Paulding. He arrives to discover his newborn child is trapped inside. As Thomas struggles & falls against the flames, a repentant young Hessian soldier returns to help save the child. Co-Patriots then arrive at the horrific scene— but through the smoky haze, they only see a Hessian soldier holding the child hostage. They rush to exact bloody revenge, decapitating the Hessian soldier before he can complete his final act of redemption, thereby bringing the spirit of the Headless Horseman to life...

Throughout the show, we observe the spirits of those who have passed. Each soul lingers on to fulfill a purpose…

Some to guide,

Some to comfort,

Some to protect…

… And one desperately

searching for his way home.
